Overview
Redesign of two iconic novel book jackets — Psycho by Robert Bloch and 007 Casino Royale by Ian Fleming. Psycho was created with main scenes from the movie kept in mind. One main scene that happened was a woman getting murdered while taking a shower where the story took a huge turn. 007 Casino Royale was created also by keeping the main scenes in mind.
The Challenge
Redesign two iconic novel book jackets to attract modern readers without losing the essence of their narratives.
Concept
Psycho: A stark bathtub drain with a blood swirl, hinting at suspense without being overtly graphic. Casino Royale: A poker chip integrated into dynamic typography to symbolize the main story.
