Overview
I redesigned the Student Loan Justice logo to create a bold and empowering visual identity that better reflects the organization's mission. By incorporating a raised fist holding a graduation cap into the letter "T" in "STUDENT," the logo symbolizes strength, unity, and the fight for reform.
The Challenge
The biggest challenge was designing a logo that captured the seriousness of the student debt crisis while also inspiring hope and action.
Concept
The logo was designed around the concept of "Breaking Free from Debt." Key design choices: a graduation cap and rising upward motion to represent opportunity, progress, and reform.
Execution
- Bold, sans-serif lettering for strength and clarity
- Balanced mix of deep blue for trust and green for financial growth and hope
- Designed for versatility across campaign materials, website headers, petitions, protest signage, and merchandise
Impact
The final logo established a strong, cohesive visual identity for Student Loan Justice, enabling the organization to present a credible and professional image to policymakers and media outlets.
